There is a Glasgow Taxis rank (Hackney) pick-up and drop -off point at the East entrance adjacent to the Clyde Auditorium.

Glasgow has the largest rail network in the UK outside London. Glasgow's Central Station is connected with every city in the UK, while Queen Street Station serves central and northern Scotland.
Once you're in Glasgow, your journey to SECC can be completed by train. Trains run to the SECC from the city centre with a journey time of just three minutes. The SECC has its own dedicated railway station allowing easy access from the city centre and the suburbs. Six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Central Station (Platform 17 is on the lower level) will bring you to Exhibition Centre station in a journey time of just three minutes.

From the airport the First Bus 757 service operates daily (every 30 minutes) to and from Glasgow city centre or the airport from the SECC.

To SECC by Rail from Edinburgh Airport: Edinburgh's main rail stations, Waverley and Haymarket, are in the city centre. Rail passengers can get between the airport and station by taxi or bus. The Airlink 100 service ( www.flybybus.com/buyonline.php), calls at Waverley and Haymarket stations and Edinburgh Shuttle buses can pick up or drop off at the stations. Journey times are approx 25 to 30 minutes in normal traffic. A night bus, the N22 also runs between Waverley station and the airport.
Combined train and bus tickets are available to or from any rail station in Scotland. You then link from Waverly to Glasgow Central.
SECC by Car from Edinburgh Airport: Edinburgh Airport is about eight miles west of the city centre. Exit onto the A8 Glasgow Road, close to the M8 and M9 motorways. The A8 airport junction is between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts. Follow the signs for Glasgow A8, M9 then M8 then SECC.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is a 45 minute drive by direct motorway link from Glasgow's international airport.
By Car: Glasgow city centre is only a 32 mile drive on motorway and "A" class dual carriageway from Glasgow Prestwick International.
By Train: Glasgow Prestwick is the only airport in Scotland served by its own railway station which is accessible by a covered walkway to/from the airport. From Glasgow, the service operates: 0600-0015 (Monday – Friday); 0600-2330 (Saturday) and 0900-2300 (Sunday). The journey time is approx 50 minutes. From the airport, the service operates: 0548-2308 (Monday - Saturday (every 30minutes)); 0850-2307 (Sunday). The journey time is approx 50 minutes. All passengers receive free or half price rail travel.

MORNING BUS SERVICE TO PRESTWICK AIRPORT: The X99/X100 airport express bus service offers passengers, who require to check-in prior to 07:30 on weekdays and 10:00 on Sundays,' a fast, comfortable and reliable service between Edinburgh, Glasgow and the airport. The morning bus leaves Edinburgh Waverly Bridge at 03:30 arriving into Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station for pick up at 04:45 and will arrive at the airport at 05:30am.
EVENING BUS SERVICE FROM PRESTWICK AIRPORT: The X99/X100 airport express bus service offers passengers, who arrive on late evening flights outwith public transport times, a direct service between the airport, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Passengers are strongly recommended to pre-book tickets, although they can be purchased from the driver on the day of travel subject to availability. Tickets are only valid for the X99/X100 service. The bus timetable will be reviewed and changes may occur in accordance with any changes in the airport flight schedule.

Public Transport: Glasgow Prestwick Airport is served by Stagecoach Western X77 Express Service and operates to/from Glasgow Buchanan Street Station. This is a direct service which stops outside the airport on the A79.
The X77 From Glasgow operates - 0735-2330 Monday– Saturday (via Kilmarnock from 1820 onwards)and 0905-1905 on a Sunday. The journey time is approx 50 minutes. The X77 from the Airport, operates - 0639-2034 Monday–Saturday and 0810-1810 on a Sunday. The journey time is approx 50 minutes.

The SECC is just off Junction 19 of the M8 motorway. From the M8 take the westbound Clydeside Expressway (A8414). Exit at 'SECC West' slip to access our car parking facilities. Car Parking is £5.00 per car, per visit.
The subway is a circular route of 15 stations covering the centre and west of Glasgow. The route operates an inner circle (travels counter clockwise) and outer circle (travels clockwise), a trip round the entire circle would take only 24 minutes!
Monday-Saturday the services operates from 6.30am and from 10am on Sunday. The Subway begins to close down from 11pm (Monday-Saturday) and from 5.30pm on a Sunday. Trains run every 6-8 minutes and all trains stop at all stations.
A flat fare applies to any one journey on the subway, adult single tickets are currently priced at £1.00, £2.00 for a return. 10 and 20 multi journey tickets are available, as are seven days passes and day passes (discovery ticket).
You will need your ticket to operate the turnstile entrance to the platforms, but they are not needed to operate the exit turnstile. Tickets should however be kept for possible inspection.
All stations have a manned ticket office and tickets should be bought at the office, single and return tickets are available from the ticket machines in the station.
