AMEE 2010 eLearning Symposium

Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September

eLearning is playing an increasingly important role & is now part of mainstream developments in medical education. This symposium provides the opportunity for all concerned with medical education to gain an insight into the current position in this complex field & to see examples of ‘best-of-breed’ practice in the healthcare professions & other fields. Participants from different countries & backgrounds can share their experience & contribute to the debate.

Who should attend? The symposium will be of interest to all who are engaged in education in the healthcare professions. It is aimed both at experts and those who are active in eLearning and the application of new technologies and at novices and individuals who wish to have a quick introduction to the topic and an awareness of current developments and future directions in this area. The symposium has relevance for clinical and basic science teachers, deans and course directors, educationalists and instructional designers, learning technologists, researchers, administrators and students.

How you can participate. As well as taking part in the discussions, you have the opportunity to submit an abstract on an eLearning topic for consideration for oral or poster presentation, or a workshop. Abstracts should be submitted through the AMEE online abstract submission process by 12 March. Please indicate on the submission form that you wish to present at the eLearning Symposium. (Please note that all presenters will be expected to register for the Symposium and pay the registration fee.)
