Glossary of Medical Education Terms
Andrzej Wojtczak
ISBN: 978-1-903934-28-1
Date: 2003
Summary: Finding definitions or descriptions of educational terms and concepts used in medical and healthcare professions education is sometimes not easy. Where they do exist, the meaning may not be clear, or it may be interpreted differently by different populations. The Glossary attempts to pull together a definitive list of terms, which has been collated from dictionaries, encyclopaedias, glossaries, articles and the Internet. In dictionary format, the glossary also includes terms from the areas of population health, information management administration and management of health systems. The Glossary is far from exhaustive, and some of the definitions will prove controversial. The author hopes it will stimulate discussion and debate, and welcomes suggestions for change and additions in preparation for a second edition.
