Designed as a support and resource for those new to teaching, as well as for those with some experience, these programmes are open to everyone who would like to deepen their understanding and update on current best practice.
Teaching is a constantly evolving skill, and all teachers, even those with considerable experience, can improve and supplement their skills. Participants who complete their programme receive an AMEE-ESME Certificate in Medical Education in the areas addressed by the course.
Essential Skills in Medical Education
This 12-week course is aimed at those new to teaching, as well as teachers with years of experience who would like a greater understanding of the basic principles and an update on current best practice. The course recognises that, with appropriate help, all, even those with considerable experience, can improve their skills in teaching.

ESMECPD provides an introduction to those who are currently involved in the planning, organization and/or implementation of medical (health) education at the continuing professional development level.

Each course has been designed to be beneficial to teachers at all levels of experience, helping everyone to develop and improve their skills and abilities. The Online courses run at points throughout the year and allow you to take part from wherever you are in the world, while the face to face courses take place in person at the annual AMEE conference.
