The 7th ICFDHP in conjunction with AMEE, invites abstract submissions relating to any aspect of Faculty Development in the health professions.
 
The theme of the conference is ‘Shape of Faculty Development for Tomorrow – Implications for Theory, Practice & Scholarship’ and the goal of the conference will be bringing together a global community of faculty developers and health profession educators. This conference is specifically focused on the field of faculty development for academic health science centres world-wide and is the foremost calendar event on this important topic. The conference will take place in Glasgow on the 26 & 27 August, 2023.

Programme Chairs Karen Leslie and Lisette van Bruggen say, “The 2023 Programme Committee is made up of individuals from across the world who all want to have an impact on Faculty Development.. The members of the committee represent the SIG on Faculty Development and bring together their educational expertise, knowledge of health professions education all over the world, and its application to faculty development.”.  .

For the purposes of the conference and abstract submission, Faculty Development is defined as the broad range of activities that institutions use to renew or assist faculty members in their multiple roles. 
 
Faculty development activities include programs to enhance teaching and education, research and scholarly activity, academic leadership and management, and faculty affairs, including faculty recruitment, advancement, retention, and vitality. The intent of these activities is to assist faculty members in their roles as teachers, educators, leaders, administrators, and researchers. There are several presentation formats available for you to present your work and ideas.
 
All abstracts must be submitted via the ICFDHP 2023 Abstract Portal. Abstracts will not be accepted in any other format. If you submitted an abstract for AMEE 2022 or AMEE 2023 you will be able to log in with the same details. If you haven't submitted an abstract before, please create a new account.
