We have an exciting opportunity for volunteers from our student membership to join our popular ESME Student online course free of charge, and to help us evaluate and redesign the course materials.
We're offering a total of 30 places, completely free, and participants who complete the course and pass all end-of-module assessments will be awarded the ESME Student Certificate in Medical Education which is a great addition to your teaching portfolio. In addition, if you contribute to the evaluation activity, including completion of a series of evaluation questionnaires and participation in two focus groups, we can offer a testimonial acknowledging your contribution to the scholarship of education.
The course runs for 10 weeks, starting on the
23rd of January and volunteers must be able to commit to joining the course during this period and be willing to participate in at least one focus group during the course or in the two-week period immediately afterwards. To be eligible to receive a completion certificate you will also need to submit a short piece of written work (c. 500 words) for assessment every 2 weeks.
We're keen to ensure this group is representative of the wide geographic distribution of our student members and we will select volunteers for maximum diversity. If you'd like to be considered, please email
[email protected] no later than
22nd of December with your name, year of study, country of study and degree programme (e.g. medicine, dentistry, nursing) - we're also very keen to hear from non-medical health professions students. We will allocate the places and communicate our decisions in the first week of January.
Best wishes
The AMEE ESME Team
